The Godless Spellchecker Podcast

The Godless Spellchecker Podcast is an award winning weekly sceptical show in a conversational, interview format hosted by Stephen Knight. We hear from leading public figures as well as people without a public profile that have equally valuable experiences and ideas to share. The goal is to amplify good ideas and scrutinise bad ones. I think we've all learned something here today.

Charlie Hebdo takes this year's Secularist Of The Year Award. I was at the event in London to bring you some exclusive content. We'll hear President of The National Secular Society (@NatSecSoc), Terry Sanderson, tell us why there can be only one winner this year.  We'll be hearing Cartoonist Martin Rowson's speech as he accepts the award on Charlie Hebdo's behalf. #JeSuisCharlie

The hilarious comedian Daniel Sloss (@Daniel_Sloss) will be joining me for The #GSPodcast's 50th episode!  We have a sweary discussion about stand-up and how effective it can be at challenging bad ideas.  We also talk about the brilliant reaction to some of Daniel's godless material.  We touch on the importance of context, being a time Nazi, leaving an eternal digital footprint, Twitter spats and the greatest sectarian conflict of all: PS4 or Xbox?

Also available on iTunes and Stitcher.

I'm very pleased to have Emily Dyer (@ErDyer1) on the podcast this week to coincide with International Women's Day.  Emily is a Research Fellow for The Henry Jackson Society and specialises in Women's rights and Islamism.  She recently wrote a report on the problem of Honour Killing in the UK.  Some of you may have seen her owning it on the BBC's Big Questions recently too. We discuss ISIS, Islamism, Honour Killing, Apologism, 'Jihadi Brides' and rape victim blaming
